We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Controls Technician to program, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC power and motor control systems. This role uniquely blends refrigeration and controls expertise, requiring you to diagnose, service, and repair automation systems in diverse commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming: Troubleshoot and program E2, E3, Danfoss, and Micro Thermos systems based on blueprints and manufacturer specifications.
- Systems Applications: Locate case controllers and troubleshooting XM boards (CC-200, AK-CC55).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair EEVs (Electronic Expansion Valves) and EEPRs (Electronic Evaporator Pressure Regulators).
- Equipment Knowledge: Maintain a working understanding of RTUs, 4 Seasons, and Munters equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with RHVAC technicians, guiding them through system issues.
- Training: Train RHVAC technicians on the basics of energy management systems (EMS).
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration/HVAC controls, preferably in grocery store environments.
- Strong technical skills in refrigeration systems, case controllers, and electrical connections.
- EPA 608 Certification preferred (or ability to obtain). OSHA 10 or 30 is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs.), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with supermarket refrigeration systems, including parallel racks and glycol systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
